Mission

The Mission of CrossPoint Church is:

To Follow Jesus and make disciples who love each other, the region and the world.⁣

What We Believe

  • The one true God who lives eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

  • The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.

  • The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image. Created to love, be holy and care for creation, yet who are corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgment.

  • The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin

  • Dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.

  • The first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Savior of the world.

  • Solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ

  • Who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.

  • Both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers—given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.

  • To fulfill the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgment, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.

What We Value

PARTNERING ON MISSION

When Jesus gave the great commission, he gave it to all of his disciples. We should be connected to the global mission of the church, but also engaged in mission locally in our schools, at our jobs and with our neighbors. On mission, we live lives dependent on the Holy Spirit to lead us into Gospel opportunities and embolden us to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel. (Eph 4:11-12, Acts 1:8, Acts 1:4-5)

TRANSFORMED BY THE GOSPEL

The gospel is the good news of what Jesus has done. It transforms who we are by giving us a new identity in Christ, and transforms what we do by motivating us to live a life of grace and mercy toward others. (Eph 2:1-9, Col 1:21-22, Col 3:12-13)

LIVING A LIFE OF WORSHIP

True worship isn’t just intellectually acknowledging that God should be first; it’s enjoying and delighting in Him. Because He created us and has saved us, we worship Him by putting Him first in our lives. And when we are truly worshiping God, we will give Him everything because we see that He is worth everything. (Phil 4:4, Rom 1:20-25, Rom 12:1)

COMMITTED TO COMMUNITY

The gospel creates true community around the saving love of Jesus. Jesus didn’t save us to be isolated; He saved us into the Church, to share our lives with other believers. True community is about growing together towards spiritual maturity, and serving as a part of the whole body with spiritual gifts for the benefit of our community and the world. (Acts 2:42-46, Eph 4:11-16, 1 Cor 12:12-27)
