WHAT WE BELIEVE
The one true God who lives eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.
The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.
The DIGNITY OF ALL PEOPLE:
The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image. Created to love, be holy and care for creation, yet who are corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgment.
THE INCARNATION OF JESUS CHRIST:
The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.
THE ATONING SACRIFICE OF JESUS ON THE CROSS:
Dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
THE BODILY RESURRECTION OF CHRIST:
The first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
THE JUSTIFICATION OF SINNERS:
Solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.
THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:
Who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
THE CHURCH, THE BODY OF CHRIST:
Both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers—given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.
THE PERSONAL AND VISIBLE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST:
To fulfill the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgment, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
WHAT WE VALUE
The finished work of Jesus needs nothing else, and so we are free to rest.
The church is a family, therefore we share life together and care for each other’s needs.
Because we share one Father, the fundamental relationship we have with each other in the church is “brother and sister,” regardless of our status (or lack of it) in the world.
Food has this amazing ability to connect people - strangers become friends around the table. Jesus showed friendship to sinners and tax collectors through a meal together; these meals demonstrate the kind of people that God welcomes around his table. Meals are a way for us to experience His grace, build community, and be on mission.
HOW WE LIVE
Jesus invites us as sons and daughters to reclaim a life of freedom and wholeness. As we follow Him in community together we discover the life that God always intended for us to live: free from posing and faking. In Christ, the Father has made us sons and daughters, we learn together how to become one.
Jesus came telling stories. We all have a story and as a church family we value each persons unique story. Together we share our stories and help each other see how our story fits into the one big story that God has been writing from the beginning: that the Father is restoring all things in his son Jesus.
Slowing down. Learning to walk with God. Waiting, Listening, and Watching what the Lord is doing in our life and around us.
We share a lot of meals together and with the people we live, work, and play around. Meals are a way for us to do mission in everyday life.
Enjoying the good things in life together. We don’t take ourselves too seriously; it is important that we discover what makes our hearts come alive and spend time actually doing it.
Mission is not a project; it is our identity. Every day we are on mission to share the incredible love of Jesus in a relevant way with the people that we see every day.
