COVID-19 Response

About Sunday Gatherings

The leadership team have been seeking God's wisdom in prayer and counsel, while discussing with local government and local churches.  Our goal is to not only honor with state and local recommendations, but to also love each other well while considering various levels of comfort. May our church grow more united around Christ and His mission and may we not fall into the trap of division and criticism.

Service Time
9:30 a.m. In-Person & Online

Online
We will livestream the 9:30 a.m. service on Facebook, YouTube and at crosspoint.family indefinitely.

In-person
Our regular service time of 9:30am on Sunday mornings is back for the foreseeable future. Kid's Church has resumed with attention paid to social distancing. Kindergarten - Elementary level kids are asked to wear "masks while moving" and will be able to take the mask off when in their seat.

What to Expect

Before Service
  • We are asking that a mask be worn coming into the building and when moving throughout, but no masks are required once seated in the sanctuary.
During Service
  • Our service will be just over an hour.
  • Welcome cards, Sermon Outlines and Communion elements can be collected by attendees as they enter the sanctuary.
  • We will use pre-packaged communion elements.
  • Instead of passing offering baskets, boxes will be available to receive the offering as you leave. Giving online is also encouraged.
  • Restrooms will be available.
After Service
  • Please continue to social distance out of respect of others’ various comfort levels.

Procedures for Sunday Gatherings

As we begin to meet again in-person, please be prepared to observe the following guidelines.

General Health and Safety
  • It is recommended that those over 65 years old or those with underlying at-risk health conditions stay home and enjoy the livestream online.
  • If you are not feeling well or exhibiting symptoms of illness, please stay home and enjoy the livestream online.
  • Hand sanitizer will be strategically placed throughout the building for use.
  • Our HVAC system will expel the air in the building, replacing it with air from outside.

Social Distancing
  • Please seek to remain 6-feet from other households (families or individuals) and be respectful of others’ various comfort levels. Avoid physical contact with others such as hugging, shaking hands, and high fives.
  • Greeters, ushers, and other volunteers will follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Every other row will be use to allow for social distancing between household.

Masks
  • Mask must be worn upon entering the building. Limited, disposable masks will be available upon entry to the building.
  • Greeters, ushers, and other volunteers will  be required to wear masks.

Children's Ministry

Children's Ministry is now available on Sunday mornings for children ranging from nursery-5th grade.

Helpful Guidelines for Parents to Facilitate a Smooth Transition Back into our Sunday School Routine:
  • Designated volunteers will be operating the check-in stations. These volunteers will get the children checked-in and their name tags printed.
  • Children are asked to use the restroom and wash their hands before entering  their classrooms.
  • Parents may walk their child to their designated classroom.
  • Each teacher will do a quick forehead scan temperature check of children before  welcomed into the classroom.
  • We are doing our best to maintain social distancing guidelines and to minimize exposure through shared surfaces.
  • Children’s snacks and activities will be individually packaged.
  • We request masks be worn on children in the K-5 classrooms. Children may remove masks once seated. Younger children will not be required to wear masks.
  • At the end of service, parents are asked to wait at the check-in counter. Runners will  retrieve children from their classrooms. Our goal is to minimize the congestion that often occurs when forming lines to pick up children after service.
  • Children that have been sick, or are currently displaying any symptoms that may indicate they aren’t feeling their best, should not attend Sunday School.
